Give the gift of an oenological tour of a wine estate. A vestige of the Wars of Religion, the Château Bas and its 19th-century cellar were restored to their former glory by the D'Albenas brothers in 2002. The highest domain in the Grès de Montpellier appellation, they cultivate their vines organically at an altitude of 350 metres. The estate, located 30 minutes from Montpellier, produces some of the finest red, white and rosé Languedoc and Grès de Montpellier appellation wines, distinguished by their elegance and finesse.

Spend a half-day with the winemaker, walking through the organically farmed vineyards, visiting the vinification cellar to discover the mysteries of wine and the unique history of the château, and tasting the great selected vintages.  You'll round off this unique experience with a gourmet picnic in the French-style garden, overlooking the national park that surrounds the château.
